Job Hunting and Career Planning Workshop
This job hunting and career planning workshop was hosted by Karen Ha -- she works at the booming shipping company Shippo in SF! She covered topics such as Helping high schoolers with career/job hunting planning, advice on how to approach job hunting, using LinkedIn, and aiming for certain careers. Karen presented slides for 40 minutes and then we had a Q&A for 20 minutes.
Student Research During COVID-19 Workshop
Hosted by InternNet, Chinmayi Balusu, an undergraduate sophomore at Columbia University and founder and CEO of @SimplyNeuroscience, led a workshop covering the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on student research. Chinmayi covered topics including (but not limited to) how to determine if a research project is something you’re interested in exploring, figuring out the topic of your research project, and breaking down details about research.
College Essay Strategies
The InternNet team collaborated with guest host Dyllen Nellis on this College Essay Strategies workshop. Dyllen, an undergraduate at Stanford University who runs her own business with the goal of making the college application process easier, shared tips on crafting a unique essay, distinguishing between different types of college essays and how to write them, creating a writing plan, and much more.
